Dr. Ed Garrett continues to share the Gospel and follow the Great Commission by expanding the walls of CBU. A full-time faculty member for Online & Professional Studies, Dr. Garrett serves as the Discipline Lead and Associate Professor of Kinesiology and Discipline Lead for the newly formed Sports, Recreation & Fitness Bachelors. Dr. Garrett also teaching for the new Masters of Sports Psychology on main campus. In 2019 Dr. Garrett will be taking interested students to London to learn about the international sports business culture. In 2015 Dr. Garrett took a group of students from Belhaven University on this very same trip. Prior to London Dr. Garrett was awarded multiple opportunities to explore the international sports culture. In 2008 Dr. Garrett went with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes to Egypt to conduct sports camps. In 1994-95 Dr. Garrett was a part of the USA Olympic Beach Volleyball program, which took him all over the world and interacting with many different international governing bodies for sport. Dr. Garrett is happily married to his best friend (Mandy) of 21 years and blessed to be raising 4 incredible kids. Dr. Garrett and his family are members of The Grove Community Church.
