CBU Signature Programs

California Baptist University has partnered with like-minded organizations such as Veritas and Living and Learning International to develop quality study abroad experiences for our students. These programs offer students opportunities for service, discipleship, deepening of faith, and cultural and academic engagement in an international setting. Students enjoy the support and extraordinary care of overseas teams in each of the program locations. The program locations have been selected based on safety, academics, and affordability for students. CBU Signature Programs are also unique in that the courses offered overseas are pre-approved by the home institution, making the process of transferring credits from study abroad much smoother for students.

Study Exchange Programs

There are numerous financial and academic benefits for students choosing to study abroad through an exchange program. With study abroad through exchange, students are sent directly to a partner university. Students pay CBU's tuition and cover room/board, food and other expenses, just like they would during a normal semester at CBU. Institutional aid and scholarships apply to tuition, unlike many study abroad opportunities through third-party providers. Additionally, the exchange option offers much wider variety of courses and programs than traditional study abroad through third-party providers.

CBU in Costa Rica

ISA-Veritas | Terms: Fall, Spring, Summer | San José, Costa Rica | Students will embark on an academic and missions focused semester and serve the communities with through a Missions Mentor and local ministries in San Jose.

CBU in Czech Republic

ISA-Veritas | Terms: Fall, Spring, Summer | Prague, Czech Republic | Students will embark on an academic and missions focused semester and serve the communities with through a Missions Mentor and local ministries in Prague.

CBU in Ecuador

L&LI | Terms: Fall, Spring, Summer | Quito, Ecuador | This semester opportunity is designed to combine classroom learning, ministry, mission, and practical experiences in Ecuador, including the Amazon jungle.

CBU in France

CBU in Lithuania

LCC International University | Terms: Fall, Spring, Summer | Klaipeda, Lithuania | Learn in an international community and travel Europe and the Baltics - all while earning academic credit at a Christian liberal arts university.

CBU in Spain

ISA-Veritas | Terms: Spring, Fall, Summer | Seville, Spain | Students will embark on an academic and missions focused semester and serve the communities with through a Missions Mentor and local ministries in Seville at the ISA Study Center.

Exchange: Aoyama Gakuin University

AGU | Terms: Spring | Tokyo, Japan | Students will participate on an exchange semester at a faith-based university in the heart of bustling Tokyo, Japan. Students will also have the opportunity to engage in a pen pal program with their peers at AGU.

Exchange: Richmond University

RAIUL | Terms: Spring, Fall, Summer | London, United Kingdom | Students will participate on an exchange semester at an American-style university in the affluent Richmond and Kensington districts in London. Students will also have the opportunity for internships.

Exchange: Internationale Hochschule Liebenzell

IHL | Terms: Spring, Fall, Summer | Bad Liebenzell, Germany | Students will participate on an exchange semester at a faith-based university of applied sciences based in a small community in southern Germany. Program to be opened soon.
